Literary Magazine |
Exciting Writing, Dedham Middle School’s literary magazine, is published three times a year. All DMS students are invited to submit fiction, poetry, narratives, art, and more to each issue of the magazine. Looking for 7th/8th grade students and advanced 6th grade students who love making music in a community setting and have some skills on their instrument. Do you like jazz and know how to improvise or would like to learn? Specific instruments include: flute, clarinet, saxophone (all types), trumpet, trombone, piano, guitar, bass, and drum set. Open to other types of instruments that could apply! We will meet weekly and perform on multiple concerts throughout the year. |

Do you love to sing or beat box? Dedham Middle School’s acapella group is looking for vocalists and vocal percussionists. No experience required! Throughout the school year we will perform at the Spring Concert, All Town Chorus Concert, and more. Filmmaking and Animation Club |
Are you interested in creating short animated films? Do you like to create characters from modeling clay? Would you like to use technology to create stop-motion style movies? You can do all of this and more in the Filmmaking and Animation Club. Students can create hand-drawn animated flip books, use technology and legos to make stop-motion movies, and modeling clay with armature to create their own moving characters. This club sets out to explore different character traits within ourselves to determine what we stand for/believe in and what we do not.
